The Top Boozy Tea To Drink In 2023

Most hard seltzers are really sweet, and I feel like I will have a major hangover the next day. Owl’s Brew is different. It tastes like a small batch high-end tea from a boutique coffee shop.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock over the last few years, hard seltzers have become your friends’ favorite beverage to post about on social media. While hard seltzers have received all the press coverage, boozy teas have quietly grown into the top-selling hard seltzer alternative. During the Fall, a friend recommended Owl’s Brew, a boozy tea brand. Before the recommendation, I didn’t even know boozy tea was a thing.

However, I got tired of drinking hard liquor or the artificial ingredients in most hard seltzers.  So, I decided to try Owl’s Brew and ordered their variety 12-pack through Drizly. It came in four different boozy tea flavors, English Breakfast Tea, Darjeeling Tea, White Tea, Raspberry & Watermelon, and Matcha Tea. Their teas are fresh-brewed organic spiked hard tea, made with 100% all-natural ingredients. There are ZERO artificial flavors, natural flavors, or sugar substitutes. Plus, it seems like Owl’s Brew rolls out a new flavor every few months.

Surprisingly, after trying all of the boozy tea flavors, I found the Matcha tea with its tropical flavor to be my favorite. I usually don’t enjoy drinking Matcha, but this tea combined with the pineapple and chamomile is unlike any Matcha I’ve tried. My second favorite is the Darjeeling Tea & Hibiscus Flowers flavor. Even better is that none of them tasted like alcohol. Depending on who you ask, this can be either a good or a bad thing. For me, it’s a great thing! I’m not a fan of choking down drinks that taste like rubbing alcohol to enjoy myself in the evening. The Owl’s Brew flavors that I’ve tried taste like the most refreshing sparkling iced tea, and not like an overpoured alcoholic beverage.

Why Owl’s Brew Is Our Favorite Boozy Tea

In honor of her late Majesty the Queen of England, we should all enjoy a cuppa. I’ll be enjoying my tea…boozy. Not just any boozy tea, but my all-time favorite, Owl’s Brew. Owl’s Brew sets itself apart from the other boozy beverages on the market by boasting 100% real ingredients, is gluten free, and made with REAL TEA. Don’t take my word for it. Every Owl’s Brew flavor is crafted with 100% real ingredients, made with fresh-brewed tea, and is gluten-free. Owl’s Brew provides the breakdown of all the ingredients in their boozy teas on their website.

With Owl’s Brew, you know what you’re drinking in your boozy tea, unlike a lot of the hard seltzers out on the market. Most hard seltzers are really sweet, and I feel like I will have a major hangover the next day. Owl’s Brew is different. It tastes like a small batch high-end tea from a boutique coffee shop with 4.8% alcohol per can. I should also mention that it’s slightly sparkling and contains caffeine found naturally in teas, which only add points in my book. This way I can ditch the vodka Redbull and opt for something healthier when I’m out. Skip the hangover.

If you’ve been reading any of my previous articles on Knowpert, maybe you’ve gleaned a little bit of information about me personally. I’m not basic – perhaps a tad bougie if anything. I’m not a fan of added sugar or ingredients that will cause a massive hangover. I like aesthetic packaging. For these reasons, Owl’s Brew has become one of my regular drink choices to enjoy during the week or weekend. I am super happy that I no longer need to suffer through basic, naturally flavored, mango-flavored hard seltzer.

The boozy beverage industry is evolving, and Owl’s Brew is my favorite alternative to hard seltzer and hard alcohol mixed drinks. Here’s to the rest of 2023 drinking a great, natural boozy tea made from real ingredients.
